The GW Graham Grizzlies are off to an exciting 2-1 start this season, and a big part of their success is Grade 11 standout Beckett Goertzen. His all-around performance has been a key driving force, with impressive stats through the first three games:

  • Game 1: 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals, 4 blocks
  • Game 2: 22 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 1 block
  • Game 3: 22 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 5 blocks

Beckett shares his thoughts on his role this season, saying, “Being a key player at the senior level was a huge goal of mine… Our team shows off a ‘Family Culture’ with an ‘All In’ mindset. We win as a family, and lose as a family.” His leadership on and off the court is guiding his team to embrace a culture rooted in support, trust, and unity. With most of the roster made up of Grade 11 players, the team is building something special—focused not only on this season but on long-term growth and success.

At GW Graham, it’s more than just about winning games—it’s about creating a culture where each player is empowered to lead, stay humble, and grow together. The work they’ve put in during the offseason, along with their dedication to one another, is a testament to their unwavering belief that they can compete at the highest level.

This Wednesday, the Grizzlies face their toughest challenge yet when they take on the #2 ranked Dover Bay team at the LEC. With their ‘All In’ mindset and the strength of their team culture, they’re more than ready to rise to the occasion and prove they’re a force to be reckoned with. “All glory to God who will guide me through His path for me.”
